guitar versions of zelda music. sexy time~
hmmm… how do I start talking about the zelda symphony concert in san francisco?
well first off, I felt like I was the only one who dressed up. very few cosplayed and let me day, as nerdy as it sounds, I don’t regret it. haha! like forreals, I think dressing up is an art, and it truly shows the appreciation of the character and their costumes in the game. but a girl dressed up as a loftwing…
but like at most 10 people dressed. I was kinda awkward with my toon link costume because… well… everyone was in their tuxedos and cocktail dresses… and wearing a link hat. LOL.
I stayed in line for the merchandise because I didn’t want to leave empty-handed. I mean, coming to an $85 ticket, you expect there to be valet loftwing parking and/or free posters. meh. it’s okay. it’s still an experience.
I got in and apparently i got pretty good seats. (except for this guy who sat in front of me who was gigantic). it was close to the stage and the aisle and people noticed my toon link costume. they actually wanted to take a picture with me! haha yay! i’m so glad I chose a bottom floor ticket because that’s where the party was it! seriously, all 10 cosplayers were on the bottom level and we were just all taking pictures with each other. I thought all the cosplayers were friends but apparently they didn’t each other until the actual day. Zelda fans unite! haha and like, surprisingly, we were all different characters. there were no two alike! and there was a fi cosplay who was dancing around the aisles. freakin hilarious!
then the concert started… and the conductor was pregnant! how cute is that! she was so big! and she was super moving and dancing as she conducted but that didn’t stop her from conducting the best music in the world. her baby is going to grow up musically talented… or deaf.
dude. I super cannot explain my feelings. I super cried with happiness and nostalgia. like how the good ol’ days without the stresses of life and playing countless hours like there’s no tomorrow.
anyways, i don’t want to spoil anyone of the concert… but I will anyways! the song I was actually looking forward to was the title song for ocarina of time. YOU KNOW I WAS CRYING IN THAT. holy crap! that was the one that hit home.
and then there was an intermission. after the intermission, the symphony played great fairy fountain. then the conductor asked the audience, “did everyone have a refreshing trip to the great fairy’s fountain?” haha!
and I remember that there’s a beautiful projection screen in the hall. everyone laughed when link was getting attacked by cuckoos.
I wish I played a link to the past. I wasn’t born yet and it’s hard to play that game right now. I really liked ballad of the windfish though.
and there were two encores. gerudo valley and a majora’s mask movement. crazy! tumblr kinda spoiled it for me but since I knew, I was the first one to scream the loudest.
so many feelings that day. my goosebumps and tears couldn’t be contained. I’d let it all out. the song of storm was activated in my eyes.
I freakin love Zelda. and every concert has a special experience that everyone could take home with them to their heart.
at the end of the concert, I saw someone with a program, and I was like “OMG where’d you get that from?” apparently Jason (the producer of the symphony) is his cousin. I was like “oh! thank you for having a cousin like him!”
it kinda ended abruptly. I wish it was longer, but it was only 2 hours. I expected Zelda williams and pikminlink because they live there, but thass okay! because it truly was an adventure in hylian music. :]
Zelda symphony San Francisco. this was a truly magical 2 hours of my life.
it is time,
for the hero of time,
